I’ve written a number of short stories over the years, but these are my three favorites:
A kid returns home from the Iraq War to find love and septic tanks in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This story was the runner-up for the Iowa Review Award for Fiction in 2006, and was published in the Winter 2006 issue of the Iowa Review.
A young man, lost on foot in rural Norway, stops to help a girl with her broken down motorcycle.
It’s you standard teenage love story. Just a small town girl, her boyfriend… and her other boyfriend?!? Ehhh… on second thought, it might be kind of complicated.
